Rice Culture is hiring part time and full-time FOH team members to work out of our store in Vienna, VA, Tysons Corner Mall, and Chantilly, VA. We are looking for self-starters who are easily able to work as a part of a team or alone. The ideal candidate is someone with amazing energy, experience working in a high volume shop within the food industry, and a love for waffles!
In this role, you will greet customers, serve beautiful Ice Cream creations with a smile, pack orders, and deliver amazing customer service. We are a busy high volume shop so we are looking for someone who can remain positive and energetic during long busy shifts.
PAY:
Pay is $15 per hour + tips. As we are are a growing small business, the right candidate has the opportunity to cross train and learn how to cook Taiyakis or Kitchen Prep. We also believe in promoting from within!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain comprehensive understanding of the menu, including the ingredients, preparation methods, presentation standards, and any seasonal/special items.
Prepare Ice Cream products and serve Taiyakis to customers. This includes:
Filling Taiyaki Cones
Swirling Ice Cream into cups
Add Sprinkles and Toppings to cups
Packaging Taiyakis
Quality control by ensuring products that does not meet Rice Culture standards are not served to guests.
Restock toppings, Ice Cream mixes, utensils, and packaging throughout the day
Assemble and Restock Jar Desserts when needed.
Assemble and Restock Halo Halo and Drink Stations when needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work space while following all proper sanitation guidelines.
Regularly wipe down Equipment and sanitize cooking utensils throughout the shift.
Maintain and handle Ice Cream Equipment with care. Communicate and work on any equipment issues with the Production Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 1 year of Food handling and customer service experience required
Flexible availability / must be able to work a minimum of three days of 5-8 hour shifts
15-35 hours per week for part time
35+ hours a week for full time
Must have reliable transportation to the job location. We have locations in Vienna, Tysons, or Chantilly, VA
Food handlers certificate a plus
Bakery/Pastry experience a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing tasks that require strength and stamina, including:
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to reach up to 6 feet
Ability to lift and use heavy kitchen machinery such as 30 qt mixer bowl, large immersion blenders, large 20-30 qt filled pots.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
